Labiaplasty – Vaginal Rejuvenation Surgery

At Kanata Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery, we are often contacted by patients inquiring about labiaplasty surgery or labia reduction surgery. This can be a sensitive topic, and at our private plastic surgery clinic we treat all our patients with the utmost respect and discretion.

Large or uneven development of the labia can cause many problems for women, including discomfort during sexual intercourse, pain with exercise, and self-consciousness with certain clothing choices. Vaginal rejuvenation is a surprisingly simple solution that can help correct these issues and provide an improved quality of lift.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a labiaplasty?

Labiaplasty surgery refers to the surgical reduction of the labia majora (the outer “lips” surrounding the vagina). The surgery can reduce the size of the labia to fix functional problems such as those mentioned above, or can be done to correct an asymmetry. The procedure is performed under either local or general anaesthesia, depending on the patient’s preference. Labiaplasty surgery takes 1 hour to complete, and all sutures are dissolving.

Am I a candidate?

If you are interested in labiaplasty surgery, please contact our clinic to schedule an appointment with Dr. Lacey. Please let us know if you would like us to provide a female nurse to be present during your consultation. Labiaplasty is performed as day surgery and patients are able to go home the same day as their procedure. Most patients return to work within a week following surgery. We ask our patients to refrain from exercise and sexual activity for at least 4 weeks following surgery.
